Managing Director
Datamavic

Abhijit started Datamavic with a focus on providing design and automation services in Unified Communications and reselling collaboration products. In 2020, the pandemic forced companies to enable their workforce to work remotely and Datamavic soon found itself, helping customers migrate to cloud based collaboration services. With remote working, the network is getting convoluted and as a result new challenges are emerging in Cyber Security. According to ACSC, 97% of Australian businesses (which are small) are the most vulnerable, with majority business owners not aware of security best practices.

Datamavic is on a mission to help spread awareness on cyber security threats to SME market and how to best defend end points using the same best practices and products that Enterprise companies use, but at a much lower operational cost.

With a background in Computer Engineering and over 17 years of professional experience in IT & Telecom industry, Abhijit has donned many roles across various Tech companies like Cisco, Orange, IBM and Telcos like Telstra and Optus making him travel extensively to over 12 countries to manage mostly Global Fortune 500 clients.

Peter states, “We are in a war with cyber criminals and if you are not properly prepared and know what you need to do to protect your business, you can easily become a statistic in the evening news”

During his informative sessions, Peter explains some of the way’s organisations suffer data breaches. He helps business owners understand that no matter how up to date their security technology, their last line of defence is always their users. Are your employees prepared? Arm them with the skills to become your greatest asset and the first line of defence, not the last.
